Connecting a wallet

PumpCrate signs you in by reading your wallet's public address. There is no account, no password and no signature. This page covers which wallets work and how the connection behaves on each kind of device.

When the panel asks for a wallet#

The panel opens for everyone. You can browse the packages, open the New session form, try presets and read the payment steps without connecting anything. A wallet is requested only at the moment it is needed: when you buy a package, because the volume is credited to that address, and when you start a session, because it is paid from that address's balance.

Supported wallets#

Any Solana wallet that can share its public address with a web page works. The panel lists these first and detects the ones installed in your browser:

  • Phantom
  • Solflare
  • Backpack
  • Trust Wallet
  • OKX Wallet
  • Jupiter
  • Coinbase Wallet
  • Other Solana wallets, through the wallet list and QR code connection

Connecting on each device#

Computer#

  1. Press Connect in the panel.
  2. Pick your wallet. If its browser extension is installed it is marked as detected and opens straight away.
  3. Approve the connection in the extension. This shares your public address and nothing else.
  4. If you do not use an extension, choose the QR code option and scan it with the wallet app on your phone.

Android#

On Android the panel uses Mobile Wallet Adapter. Choosing your wallet opens the installed app, you approve the connection there, and Android returns you to the browser with the address shared.

iPhone#

iOS browsers cannot talk to wallet apps directly, so the panel opens Phantom or Solflare through a deep link. The wallet asks you to approve the connection, then sends you back to the panel in your browser. You can also open the panel inside the browser built into your wallet app, where the wallet is detected like an extension.

If you started a purchase before connecting on iPhone, the panel remembers which package you picked and continues the purchase when the wallet sends you back.

What connecting does and does not do#

Connecting lets PumpCrateAllowed
See your public addressYes, so the panel can show the balance stored against it
Open a message for you to signNever
Ask you to approve a transactionNever
Move or spend your tokens or SOLNever, there is no approval or delegate it could use
See a seed phrase or private keyNever, no field anywhere asks for one

Switching and disconnecting#

To use another address, disconnect in the panel and connect the other wallet. Each address has its own balance, sessions and history. Disconnecting does not affect anything that is running: sessions continue, and the next time you connect the same address you see them again.

The panel remembers your connection in this browser so you do not have to reconnect on every visit. Clearing site data or using a private window means connecting again. Your balance is unaffected, because it lives with the address, not the browser.
